I visited here with my wife whilst exploring gdansk city centre, it's a great hotel very modern clean perfectly situated in Motława area very easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is a very modern clean throughout with very attentive staff, in particular Wiktoria on reception was very helpful in accommodating us changing room straight away when we noticed our room ac wasn't particularly strong. This hotel I can't fault at all, good breakfast nice rooftop bar and good WiFi throughout and Nespresso machines in room. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family
Situated perfect. Nice rooms. Good breakfast.
Very small rooms, simple equipment, lack of intimacy in WC, good restaurant, good service
Perfect central location for old town Gdansk yet the hotel was very quiet (just what we wanted). Tip for trying to find it though - look up! Signage is tiny but Puro is in big letters above the entrance! Hotel is beautiful and the rooms have a boutique wow factor. Took a beat to figure out that everything in the room is controlled on a tablet but that worked well enough (keep it plugged it!). Beds were comfy and air-conditioning sufficient for comfort and quiet enough for sleeping. I particularly liked the drink machine on the ground floor rather than in the rooms (takeaway cups or China provided) although some might find this less convenient. Reception staff lovely and helpful. Cleaning staff very nice and do a great job. Didn't use the downstairs bar so cant comment on that. Sky bar (top floor) sent me all the way to the ground floor for a hot drink which I though was a bit harsh - plus u cant really see the sky or much of a view so a bit disappointing all round. We ate in the restaurant once. Food was fabulous. Server seemed very keen to clear our starters before we were finished which felt a little rushed/impatient despite being pretty empty (and not late in the evening) but didnt spoil our experience.
Arrival PURO Hotel Gdańsk couldn’t be much better located. Restaurants, bars, cafés and supermarkets are all just outside the front door, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. If you’re arriving by taxi or Bolt, it’s only about a two-minute walk from the drop-off point. We arrived on an early morning flight and reached the hotel around 9:00 a.m., well before check-in. The receptionist kindly stored our luggage, and when we asked if there was somewhere we could change clothes before heading out, he gave us access to the changing room and shower facilities next to the gym. It was a thoughtful gesture that allowed us to freshen up and enjoy our first day in Gdańsk straight away. Check-in later that afternoon was quick and efficient. Room We had requested a room on one of the higher floors, and the hotel kindly accommodated our request. The room wasn’t particularly large, but it was stylish, spotless and very well designed. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated having a refrigerator for our own drinks, complimentary bottled water and the in-room tablet, which controlled the lighting, air conditioning and other room features. It was intuitive to use and added a modern touch to the stay. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap. The only thing we missed was body lotion or hand cream, but that’s a very minor detail. Although our room was located right next to the lift, we were never disturbed by noise. Comfort Despite the hotel’s location on a busy street in the heart of the city, the room was impressively quiet. With the windows closed, we could barely hear the activity outside. We always travel with earplugs on city breaks and used them at night, but the sound insulation was better than we had expected. The only downside to our stay was the mattress. It transferred movement quite noticeably, meaning that whenever one of us turned over during the night, the other could feel it. This affected the quality of my sleep on two of the three nights. A mattress with better motion isolation would have made a significant difference to an otherwise excellent stay. Facilities We don’t usually eat breakfast, so we booked our stay without it. However, we really appreciated the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby, where guests could help themselves to several different coffee options throughout the day. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails at the hotel’s rooftop bar. The drinks were excellent and the service matched the high standard we experienced throughout our stay. Check-out was just as effortless as check-in. We completed everything using the tablet in the room, left the key cards on the table and simply closed the door behind us on the way out. Overall PURO Hotel Gdańsk combines a fantastic central location with modern design, helpful service and practical details that make travelling easy. Everything felt smooth from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The mattress was the only aspect that prevented this from being a five-star stay. If we return to PURO Hotel Gdańsk in the future, we would probably choose a twin room with separate beds to avoid the mattress movement we experienced. Elisabeth & Jon
