My overall experience with iberostar was really good! The staff were very welcoming and warm they spoke english very well with being from the uk. Yassine was particularly helpful and supportive with making sure me and my family had a great time. The overall hotel is great for families as it has lots of entertainment for kids as well as elderly. The beach is less than 2 minute walk from the hotel! (Beautifull beach with lovely waves in August but litter and rubbish was a downside). There are loads of local shops and a very nice walkway (promenade) with lots of entertainment. The accommodation for the hotel was fairly nice with a lovely bathroom and 2 double beds and A/C. The food hall was really nice with a lot of variety and something different everyday. I usually like to travel to see the world so i wouldn't go back because its off my bucket list but as a first-timer i would definitely recommend. Especially for a family with children.
Check in was well organised with a review of the hotel being given whilst our passports and rooms were being sorted. Our room was overlooking the beach and dual aspect so the view could not have been better. Our son's room was side sea view and also had a very good view of the pool and beach area. Both rooms were well away from any evening hotel noise, however our room did have evening noise from a neighbouring hotel, but this was only until 10:45/11:00 so did not cause any issues. The rooms were both spotlessly clean and were cleaned every day. Bathroom shower was great and easy to use. Restaurant and food were excellent. The staff were super attentive and would greet us each time we entered. One of the staff went over and above, topping our wine glasses up at the table, and even ensuring that we had an outside table for our regular time each evening. Great selection of food from western style to tagines and from meat and fish to vegetarian, all were catered for. There were 2 large pools, both patrolled by life guards, in fact we saw a rescue whilst we were there, all happened super fast and a good outcome. No problem getting sunbeds for the duration of our stay. The animation team were very friendly but not pushy, plenty of things to do if you were inclined. Several activities took part on the beach. The beach itself is wide and long and the hotel has a specific area allocated and having sunbeds. This was one of the only holidays we have had where my wife wanted to stay longer. She's normally ready for home by the end, but not this time. Excellent hotel and yes I would go back!
What a fantastic holiday! We (family of 4 with children age 12 and 7) stayed at Iberostar Waves Founty Beach for a week and had the best time. The 'vibe' is really chilled at the hotel and very family friendly. The staff are an absolute credit to Iberostar and from the moment we arrived were friendly and welcoming. From housekeeping to bar staff to restsurant staff to security staff everyone was always kind and friendly, especially to our daughter who is neurodivergent. The animation team were fun but not pushy and provided loads of great entertainment- we all loved the foam party. The hotel itself is well maintained and very clean. There are three pools, including a small children's pool, and areas roped off for Aqua Zumba and other water based activities. Sun loungers could be hard to find at busy times but usually by the late afternoon there were some free. The beach area had lots of sun loungers on it's own private space and we never had an issue getting one there. There is a great atmosphere around the pool, with fab music. Our family room (3054) was spacious and accommodated us well. We had a nice terrace overlooking the pool bar - however this meant it is near the evening entertainment and if you like an early night and are a light sleeper you may wish to request a room on the other side. The food was some of the best I've had in a hotel. Very high quality. There was a great choice of local and international dishes as well as a plentiful children's section. My favourites were the beef tagine and paella. Both my husband and son have food allergies and they were easily able to find a good selection of foods, although desserts were tricky if you have a nut allergy but this is often the case in hotel buffets. We ate at the main restaurant for meals but my kids loved the pool bar afternoon tea with fresh pancakes, churros and doughnuts as well as fruit and ice cream was always available. Drinks were nice and typical of AI. The self serve beer, wine and soft drinks meant at busy times there wasn't a wait. Beer and wine were really good. Cocktails were nice, especially the daiquiri. We liked the outside bar on the ground floor manned by great Hassan! As I said, we had the best holiday and loved Agadir. Would highly recommend and will be back.
We stayed at the Iberostar Waves Founty Beach for a week from 29th July to 5th August and had a wonderful stay. The jewel in the crown for the hotel, without a shadow of a doubt, are the staff. From the moment we arrived they couldn't do enough for us. They are a credit to the hotel and to Morocco. Our room was for three people and was clean, spacious and well presented. It was cleaned beautifully on a daily basis. The food was excellent. We ate in the main buffet restaurant every evening where choice was plentiful and varied. Breakfast was superb and lunchtimes were spent at the pool bar with pizza, burgers, salad, pasta etc on offer. Come 4pm, the pool bar offers doughnuts and pancakes which went down extremely well. The drinks are spot on with a good choice of delicious cocktails available. Evening entertainment is good with various themed nights and the Azure bar provides live music every night which we loved . The promenade, directly outside the hotel, is beautiful and well worth a walk out on an evening. Very safe, relaxed and comfortable. There is a security gate leading onto the promenade and on a few occasions we saw under 18s attempting to leave without parents. The security guards there, would not allow them to leave without a parent coming up to give consent which we thought was excellent. The beach is across the promenade with a section fenced off for hotel with a security guard. The sea is fab to swim in and jumping the waves was great fun. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday. The Moroccan people are so friendly and everyone we met made us so welcome. We would happily visit Morroco again and wouldn't think twice about staying at this lovely hotel. Thank you to all who made our holiday so enjoyable. Also a big thanks to Swanley Steve who was the Chas to my Dave!
To all the management and all the staff at Iberostar Waves Founty Beach. We stay here from 17th July through to 25th July 2026. I must say what a great time I had staying here. The staff were so friendly and polite from the check in staff, cleaners, kitchen staff, entertainment team to the bar staff. All are a credit to Iberostar Founty Beach family. I see how hard all the staff work to cater for everyone staying there. The food in the restaurant was so nice and such a wide variety to cater for all. There are a few names that I just have to mention. From the entertainment team Salah-al-a-din and Waleed (hope I spelt both names right), Fifi and above all Mario who kept on calling me ranger (my name is Ranjan....LOL). From the bar staff Khaleed (hope I spelt that name right as well) who every night when he was working in would ask when we were in the bar "how are you ? What can I do for you ? What can I get for you ?" an all round top guy. There was a young lady working in the restaurant during breakfast service possibly from 20th July through to 22nd July on the grilled sandwich counter whose name I did not get. She looked in discomfort and when I asked if she was OK she said there is an issue with my wisdom teeth. But still she managed to be polite and smile even through the pain and complete all the customers orders during breakfast service. I would like to know her name and if she ever solved the problem with her wisdom teeth. Please pin this review up in all staff rest areas to let everyone who works there that all their effort and hard does not go unnoticed but very much appreciated. My regards to all at Iberostar Waves Founty Beach hope to meet you all again soon.
