So I'm here now. I'll try to keep it brief. Location and views are fab. The food... IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD INTOLANCES OR ARE VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN DO NOT COME HERE. Nothing is labeled food is cold all the time. Fresh fruit is watermelon canned peaches or canned fruit cocktail. Hubby is veggie but I'm not and even I'm struggling to eat. Pool snacks are fish cobs all the time with a bit of cake if you want. I mentioned my hubby was veggie and all I got was a shoulder shrug( it wasn't the first time either). We were here when they had the medicane and we're about 50,000 steps up at the top. The roof leaked in so many places and also had running water down the walls. Bed got soaked everything got soaked and they weren't bothered.i understand it was a freak of nature but at least change the bloody sheets because they had water marks all over them. Now all of that being said if you're ok with cold food and no fresh fruit oh and I forgot about the beer. No alcohol in it at all. We've decided to buy our own and we're not the only ones. But like I say it's just my opinion. Also take the photo of the pool with a pinch of salt. We arrived here and got took down to another building that wasn't mentioned when booking. A bit of false advertising there i think. Enjoy!

Having read many differing reviews on this location/accommodation we were curious to find out for ourselves. So here goes. We booked at short notice and the price, timings etc were suitable for us and matched what we were looking for. Bali is 50 min drive/transfer from the airport. The town is a great place, enough bars, eateries and shops. The village/town near the accommodation has 2 small beaches. Both are rammed with sun loungers giving very little space for young children to play (if that is what you are looking for). The one beach is private to this hotel and a sun bed costs 15 euros per day. There are sun beds around the pool, but there are not enough to cater for the size of hotel. There beach is also only accessed by a large number of steps. The accommodation comes in 2 parts. Sofia Village appears to have been purchased by the owners separately. Bali Beach is the main hotel which houses the reception and the rooms are spacious with wonderful sea views. The Sofia Village part of the complex Is over the road and set on a steep slope. Anyone with children or have mobility issues should ensure they are not placed in this part. Access to them are a 5 min walk down the road from reception and then, anything up to 200 steps up ( the equivalent of 15 flights of stairs+ there are no lifts) . We were in room 46 and we had to mange 169 steps 3 times a day. The rooms in Sofia village are poorly maintained, have very basic facilities (our shower was good). They are very dated and shabby. The mattresses quilts are dirty. There is a small pool area with Sofia village but again to small tom cater for people. It also has a bar that serves drinks and snack (a piece of cake or a sandwich) All food is served near main reception so, if staying in the Sofia village area you have a lengthy walk. THE FOOD…..the food offered is very basic, is always cold and repetitive. The main eating area is small, noisy and crowded. If you like melons…you’ll be ok as that is given with EVERY meal. Alternative eating areas are available but these mainly require you to carry your food and drinks up 2-3 flights of stairs. No trays are provided to help you. The 2 best eating areas are filled quickly meaning you have to work up another flight of stairs to the roof (where the area is very industrial and unaccomadting or in a shabby tunnel low down. There are no labels on the food, so you don’t know what is in the displayed dishes, There are no table clothes and overall, apart from the location of the one eating area (sea view) they are awful. THE DRINK…the drink they serve is of poor quality. Only one choice of beer which is weak and tasteless. There is dispensed wine which again is of poor quality. There are spirits but nothing branded. My assessment overall is the location is great but the accomodation, food and service offered need some desperately needed attention. It’s like walking back in to the 1970’s You get what you pay for.

Location was nice but asked for a room swap on arrival since travelling with my nan and gave us the highest room and only had stairs But didn’t move us till 2 days in. staff was rude and judgmental the whole stay I was there. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone -10/10
