We are hear now…….day 2 of a 10 night stay. We arrived late at night and was greeted by a very nice lady on reception. Checked in swiftly. No issues with our room and on a b&b basis intentional so we can get out during the day and night to experience the bars and restaurants. The breakfast selection is plentiful and varied, lots of sun beds available. No deposit required for the pool towels (great change to policy) as we had no euros. Reading previous reviews. They are very subjective. Cannot comment on other meals provided and all staff encountered so far; reception, Restaurant, bar, poolside have all been very polite. I’m a true believer in treating people how you expect to be treated. A lovely hotel, fabulous location and would we recommend; yes absolutely.
Beautiful location, but disappointing all-inclusive experience We stayed at Remisens Hotel Albatros from 6–12 September 2026 to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. This was my third visit to Cavtat, and we chose this hotel despite having read some negative reviews because we hoped things had improved. Unfortunately, several of the issues we experienced were similar to previous reviews. The positives: beautiful location, excellent sea view, direct beach access, comfortable bed, pleasant pools and a very enjoyable aqua-gym activity. Some staff members were also genuinely friendly and helpful. The main problems: Room & air conditioning: The air conditioning was not cooling the room properly when we arrived. I contacted reception approximately six times before someone came to check it, including again around 10pm. Maintenance improved the airflow and made the room feel fresher, but it never properly cooled the room. We were not offered a room change, despite having paid extra for a sea-view room. The room was also quite small. Cleanliness: Housekeeping was very basic. Towels were changed and the bed was made, but there was significant dust and the bathroom, sink, toilet, shower and mirrors were not cleaned to the standard expected from a four-star hotel. Toiletries were not consistently replenished and vacuuming was limited. I have photographs documenting this. Food: There is plenty of choice, but the biggest issue was quality and flavour rather than variety. Several dishes were overly oily or lacked flavour, including potatoes, pasta, sauces and some risottos. Even the afternoon sausage rolls were extremely oily. However, the black risotto on 8 September was excellent, and the dinners on 8 and 9 September were noticeably better. This showed that the kitchen can produce much better food when the quality and preparation are right. Buffet replenishment was often slow, creating queues and unnecessary pressure. More serving stations and better preparation before busy meal periods would make a significant difference. Drinks: Wine, juices, soft drinks and cocktails were, in our experience, below the standard expected from a four-star all-inclusive hotel. Service & organisation: Service was inconsistent. Some staff were welcoming, but reception often felt impatient when guests had questions or concerns. There also seemed to be limited visible management presence in busy areas. Noise: There were periods when the pool, restaurant and common areas were quite noisy. After 10 September, the atmosphere became noticeably calmer and more relaxing. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, this is something worth considering. Another point I found surprising for a four-star hotel was not having an iron available without an additional charge. Overall: The hotel has a fantastic location and beautiful views, but for us the comfort, cleanliness, food quality, service and overall value did not match the price we paid for an all-inclusive stay. I would strongly recommend reading the most recent reviews carefully before booking, particularly if comfort, cleanliness, quality food and a relaxing environment are important to you.
Perfect relaxing location, cavtat has a chilled vibe. The hotel is rigth on the beach, the ocean is calm and great for swimming. Nice little beach bars run down the beach, that do fab cocktails. Short walk to the centre of cavtat, where there is more bars and shops We done a boat trip to 3 islands, it was a long day but fab. Food on the boat was good. Booked via Adernia based in the hotel. We also booked a boat ride to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik was busy but beautiful. The hotel is clean. Our room was comfortable. Slept really well. We had a shower that flooded the floor, which was an inconvenience! It has no shower screen? The spa is nice again relaxing. The hotel has lots of areas for sitting and chilling inside and out. The entertainment is good in the evenings. The food was ok, not the best ive had not the worst. Some nights/days were better then others. The food was often dry and tasteless. The alcohol is diabolical. The cocktails come from a mechine! That mechine wants thrown in the bin! The wine vile. Beer not bad. Spirits on offer for the all inclusive are vile. The soft drinks and coffee are also bad! The water is nice. If i was to give this hotel any advice it would be to make cocktails and not have a cocktail mechine! Because its something like this that would set you a par from the rest and probably whats expected of a 4 star hotel. Cavtat has my heart its a beautiful place. I will be back. but not to this hotel and i would not recommend this hotel to amyone.
