Good hotel, terrific location. This is a warm, welcoming hotel close to a lot of great local amenities (beach, shopping, promenade, restaurants). The reception staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size, clean and modern, with lots of storage and places to put things. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well, which was important during the very hot and humid days we stayed there. The bathroom and shower were really good - a good strong shower and nice bath products to use. Lots of lovely clean towels. The breakfast was very good - a lot of choice and a lot of it. The outdoor patio for breakfast was very nice, but be aware that it's beside a main roadway so traffic noise may be an issue at times. If it's too noisy, there's lots of space inside the restaurant to eat :-) There's a cozy lounge for happy hour and drinks. The hotel is a very short walk to a bus stop that takes you to the old town. A beautiful pebble beach is right across the street from the hotel; swimming there is lovely. There's a gorgeous promenade that starts a short distance from the hotel and winds along the coast, with lots of restaurants for food and drinks and stairways down to the water for swimming access. The views from the promenade are stunning.

Stayed at the Komodor for 3 nights. It’s quite a charming hotel but certainly dated. It looks like I imagine it might have in its communist days. Great location for the pebble beach just across the road and wonderful views too. A regular number 4 bus leaves from just around the corner and takes you up to the Old Town in about 20 minutes. The breakfast is fine, with lots of choice available but the carpets, certainly in the annex, are pretty badly stained and could do with a good clean. One issue I had was with customer service. We ran out of milk sachets in our room and requested some for the evening (so we could have coffee when we got back from site seeing) and were told we’d have to wait until the morning for them to arrive. Next evening still no milk sachets. Oh, well.

Comfortable, clean hotel within easy transportation and walking distance to swimming, restaurants and convenience stores. Hotel accommodations also offer good on-site informal dining. Good value for a city location and jump off excursions to other islands/ countries. Bartender Zoran rocks and always wears a smile; aims to please! Building is a little outdated, but very clean.
