Faulty towers meets Lloret de marr Just got back from 9 days at Htop Royal star & spa hotel and can say we will never visit again. We was a party of 13 staying in 5 Rooms. Let me start off with the positives. The majority of the staff was fantastic,Especially the ladies/gents at reception especially Yasin. My sons said I had include Yasin as he was exceptionally and a credit to the hotel . They was polite and was as helpful as they could be. There was at times a huge language barrier but google translate came in handy. The bar & waiting on staff was friendly and always greated with a smile. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end 😔 THE ROOMS They may have looked modern in 1996 but they are very out dated. They are spacey enough but the furniture is old and depressing not to mention falling apart. The beds are filthy. One of the single beds we had the mattress was stained with brown marks and old blood. The same bed was that squeaky that you lifted a finger is made a noise. The mattress was quite hard which for me was fine but for other members of the party they gave horrendous backache. The rooms are filthy and I mean filthy. The cleaners are majority Somalian and have very little English. All they say is clean towels. We had to ask for beds to be changed and in the end we got the clean sheets are selfs and made the beds. There standard of cleaning is 1/10. The floor was dusty, hair, sand and bits of food. You have to leave the room while they clean I asked her to clean and went in my sisters room while she cleaned. When I got back I had clean towels and nothing had been touched. I went to have a shower and I couldn’t turn to open the bath plug to let the water go down. When I managed to open it the water was still building up. I managed to get the plug out and found 8/9 inch’s of clogged hair. The smell was vile The plate on the floor was clogged with oils& debris to. I tried to take the plate off to clean but it was welded there was no chance of it opening. In one of the rooms occupied by my son & his girlfriend there was blood and feaces on the curtains plus the little bench under the tv had come off the wall. ALL INCLUSIVE & SNACK BAR Snack bar 🤔 it’s a small fridge inside the dining room which has a small amount of sandwiches, hot dogs & burgers you have to put in the microwave. The following are available for snacks but are not included in your all inclusive and have to be paid for 🍦 ice cream, iced coffees , cocktails, slushes , ice lollies, crisp, biscuits & cakes . FOOD & DRINK The food on offer is your typical all inclusive buffet. There is plenty of choice to pick from but it’s mainly Fish available. There is always chicken or pork being cooked fresh at the live show but it tended to be full of fat and very very bland in taste. There was a good salad selection and the only potato option to accompany your meals was chips. There was a small selection of cakes available for pudding along with jelly, ice creams and yoghurt. There was a range of refreshments with the option of red & white wine, fizzy drinks and water. You couldn’t get a tea or coffee with your meals. At breakfast there was the option danishes and breakfast cereals. There was the option of a “English breakfast “ cocktail sausage, bacon , beans and tomato. It was always cold so not edible. THE HOTEL Before I start this part I will advise that the “Amazing spa, Gym and indoor swimming pool DO NOT EXSIT. It all on the lower ground floor. It’s all disused and in darkness. The ceiling above the indoor pool is all caved in and hanging down. The hotel is more a youth hostel. It’s used for school trips and when I say there is 5/6 coach loads daily of children aged 14-19 I mean on average 200/250 kids each time. Not to mention there is also older maybe college / university aged groups who party all night. Most nights around 2:30-5am you are awaken by the sheer noise of music, girls laughing and screaming. The security guy did occasionally when it got to 5am go round shouting at them to turn it down but you would then see them all running to a different room to start again. All in all the hotel is a disgrace. Walking into reception you think you’re walking into a 3/4 star hotel. Once you get to your room it’s clear to see the reception is a huge front for what lies ahead. We was a party of 14 aged from 9-70. Even my 4 family members 18-19-19-22 who went out to enjoy the nightlife said the noise levels at night was out of order and that it had got ridiculous. Htop royal star& spa hotel pride themselves as a family hotel. It’s nothing more than a youth hostel. Jet2 should be ashamed to actually put there name to this shambles.

Within 24 hours of arriving at this hotel i reported that someone had been in my room and stolen my credit cards. The staff did not seem surprised. If i could read there minds i would say that they were thinking 'Ho no not again'. After waiting 5 hours for the manager she came to my room only to tell me that no one had been in my room even after showing her that my patio door had been left open and anyone could have climbed over from the cleaners room which was always left open which she dismissed as nothing to do with her. She shown no duty of care, in fact she shown a lack of care. After this none of the staff spoken to me again during my 6 day stay. Staying at this hotel was the worse hotel experience EVER. Other than that, the room was not cleaned properly and there was blood on the curtains. The restaurant crockery was not washed properly and the food was cold. Some facilities used as a selling point was not working. Anyone could walk off the street day or night without being questioned and take the lift up to any of the rooms. This is very disturbing as there are a lot of young people staying at this hotel especially young girls walking alone thinking they are in a safe space All in all, unfortunately not much good things to say about this hotel

Never ever a 4 Star hotel , The hotel is in need of an update , Rooms are very basic and dated , They cater for large amounts of School trips , Cery noisey at night inside and outside the hotel , Never ever again
