I wanted to take the opportunity to write a review, as I have never previously felt the need to leave a TripAdvisor review. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by my experience at this hotel. Having stayed in many hotels throughout Europe and beyond, I have never encountered the level of poor customer service that my friend and I experienced here. In particular, one member of the reception team came across as rude, unprofessional and lacking the most basic customer service and communication skills. During our stay, we reported on two separate occasions a strong and unpleasant odour coming from the en-suite bathroom, possibly from the sink or toilet. On both occasions, we were assured that maintenance would attend to the issue. However, the smell remained extremely noticeable. To make the room more bearable, we removed the room key from the fob so that the air conditioning could remain on while we were out, helping to reduce the odour. Upon checking out, we were reprimanded for doing this and told that we should not have removed the key from the fob. I explained that we had felt we had little alternative given the strength of the smell, which at times resembled a strong cabbage-like odour throughout the bedroom. I did not appreciate being spoken to in a condescending manner. At 43 years old, I certainly did not expect to be treated as though I had done something unreasonable when the issue stemmed from a problem that had been reported more than once and had not been resolved. We were also concerned to witness a physical altercation between two men in the hotel bar. It was alarming to see such an incident occur, and we were surprised by the apparent lack of visible security measures such as CCTV monitoring or door staff. We were subsequently informed by other guests that similar incidents had occurred on previous occasions. Overall, this was not the relaxing and enjoyable environment we had hoped for, and regrettably it is not a hotel to which I would return. That said, I would like to acknowledge the excellent service provided by the bar staff throughout our stay. In particular, the friendly female member of staff working at the central bar, where guests collect their towels, was welcoming and helpful. Thank you to her and the wider bar team for their professionalism and friendliness. Unfortunately, the positives were not enough to outweigh the negative aspects of our stay, and I would not choose to visit this hotel again.

I’m a 42 year old solo traveller who has visited quite a few places , this hotel drew me in with its front cover picture and depicting 5 star rating. Let’s address that, this hotel in my opinion is 4 star , the food is 3 -3.5 star at best , the food is ok but let’s not compare this to other 5 stars as there was a no competition here. Don’t take kids here unless your willing to hire a car and take them out , be under no illusion this hotel is miles from anything and there is not even a ping pong table in sight . The nearest beach that the shuttle bus takes you too is somewhere i never wish to return . (Be warned ) the area surrounding the hotel is not that one would expect when just taking a leisurely stroll down to the village , you would have to be so carful due to the drivers flying up and down , and there is nothing to see anyway . Closest place is Rethymnon town around 20 mins in a taxi approx 25 euros one way . Consider this if your not hiring a car . The tv in my room I would have be proud of in the early 1990s and my room was basic and tired with the cupboard smelling of a derelict house kind of smell that tainted the cloths I hung up in there . I visited a few places in my stay but nothing to make me ever want to go back. Lesson learned .

Traveling with my daughter, we were surprised at the late arrival at the hotel. No offer other than a small sandwich... The hotel is not worth 5 stars, no hot water upon our arrival, room very simple but clean, nothing more.... You should know a few points that were not mentioned in the reservation. Pool towels, a €20 deposit is required in cash, but you have to go pick them up further down in the village, not at the reception. Indoor pool accessible only if you book a spa session. Accommodation fees must be paid in cash only. Warning ⚠️ if you have an all-inclusive package and your departure is scheduled for the end of the day, your wristband is removed at 11 a.m. and you are only entitled to the snack bar, cold pizza slices, and not-so-fresh salad, so not very appetizing food before the trip.... Regarding the buffet, not very varied and no choice of desserts. The staff is not cooperative, especially when you speak French, no effort made. The place is very quiet and clean, nothing to complain about. Regarding room cleaning, you must make a request; it is not done automatically every day. Pool very well maintained.
