Unfortunately, our experience at Aska Lara was disappointing and did not live up to what we expected from a 5-star hotel. Some of the reception staff came across as rude and dismissive, and our room was not always cleaned to the standard we would expect. Another major issue was the taxi station directly outside the hotel. We were repeatedly quoted extremely high prices, often €50–€60 for journeys around 10 minutes away, and drivers would refuse to use the taxi meter. What surprised us even more was that the hotel recommends this taxi company to its guests. This really needs to be looked into, as tourists should not feel they are being taken advantage of simply because they are staying at a resort. We also had an unacceptable experience one afternoon at around 3–4pm while our baby was asleep. A member of staff came to replenish the minibar and knocked very loudly and repeatedly on our door. Before I even had enough time to get to the door, they used their card and attempted to enter the room. I had to stop them and explain that our baby was sleeping. Staff should give guests a reasonable amount of time to answer before attempting to enter an occupied room, especially when there is no emergency. Overall, I would not be fooled by how impressive the hotel may look on social media. We have stayed at much better 5-star hotels where the level of service genuinely felt premium. For comparison, our experience at Lara Barut Collection was significantly better in terms of service, professionalism and overall quality. Aska Lara has some positives, but based on our experience, the service simply did not match the 5-star standard we expected.

Amazing hotel, so much to do , food great and rooms beautiful . The animation team went above and beyond , so so friendly and went out of the way to include us all . Gokdeniz was the best, literally the hapiest team member ever ! Thankyou for making our stay wonderful x
