The hotel is very clean and tidy and well presented We went half board and the food is generally pretty poor Breakfast is greasy and undercooked for our liking although plenty of fruit if you want it We tried multiple times to find something for the evening meal but it was just not very appetising, most of it looked liked mushed up meat of some kind and smelt disgusting We never actually had a full evening meal and had to eat out at the restaurant next to the hotel which was fantastic and great value The vast majority of the staff are miserable and grunt at you. Except the cleaning ladies who are very friendly and a blonde lady on the main desk when we arrived From day one we had no air conditioning in the room and it was unbearable. The manager promised to fix it or he would give us another room. He said this 3 times before we had enough of him telling lies and fobbing us off We contacted our holiday rep who got us moved to a room with working air con The lifts in both buildings broke down regularly while we were there The pools are average and a bit small. Not enough sun loungers which isn’t unusual and a life guard that spends all day on his phone or asleep The location is good with the water park and the beach and main shopping area less than 15mins walk Overall not a great place to stay on a family holiday. A lot better hotels in the area
Just been for 9 nights. Arrived early hours in morning and reception gave us a little snack bag when we checked in which we thought was a lovely gesture and nice way to start the holiday. We got to the room which was also not that bad and the whole place is kept clean but that is pretty much where the good ends. None of the staff other than the barman and the cleaner spoke to you or smiled. The staff in the restaurant never smiled or spoke to us once other than one member of staff who spoke to complain about me filling a 500ml water bottle up bare in mind we were half board so drinks at meal times were included but only from the small glasses they provide. They even then put out a sign to say no filling water bottles up and she spoke to the staff to tell them to make sure i did not fill it up as they watched me as I moved around. The food well I do not even know where to start with the food. Very poor selection so if you are a picky eater definitely do not go. It was pretty much the same every night, there was some form of pork and chicken with veg, chips, pizza and pasta and that's it. Nothing really had any flavour to it. We ate out some nights just to have a decent meal. Drinks included at meal times did not include any fizzy drinks just pure juice and hot drinks in a morning which is fine, then pure juice, beer or wine on a evening. We went out of UK school holiday time yet some of the days we could not get a sun lounger round the pool.
This hotel was a real enigma, pros and cons. Pros first. It is a nice hotel. It is kept immaculate inside and out. The staff are very friendly and incredibly efficient, especially in the restuarant. They cleared the table very quickly, sometimes too quickly and replenished food quickly. The half board plus, included wine and beer on tap. The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We had emailed the hotel in advance for a low floor as my wife connot use lifts and climbing many flights of stairs a difficulty and we were well pleased to have a low floor. Thanks. The bathrrom had a bath with a shower over it, the shower itself was great, very powerful leaving you with a great wash. There are two pools with a kiddies pool in each. The Hotel is located about 5 to 10mmins walk from the beach and the beach road, and anout 20mins walk tom the resort centre of flower street. There are taxi ranks and bys stops close by. Cons: The food was at times cold, and one night the pork was as tough as old boots, also the evening meal had a salad bar, but there was no cold meat with it. I passed these comments to the Maitre D. There is only one bar, which is oiutside and was not usable two nights of our stay because of the weather. The Bases for the pool umbrellas were in some cases not filled with either sand or water, consequently they blew over with the slighest of breezes. This could be dangerous, especially if it landed on a client. One of the issues that really grated on us, and this is not the fault of the Hotel, was that the bulk of the clienst were non Brits. These people were arrogant and extremely rude. The would push past you or in front of you in theirm rushb to get soemwhere, seldom did the answer a "Good Morning" or similar greeting, which they could have done even if it was in there own language. They gave the imnpression that they were looking down their noses at you, which was ironic given that they were bereft of manners. All in all it is a good hotel, well run, with really nice staff. However we are unlikely to return here as we would like to be closer to the resort centre, due to increasing walking difficulties.
Checked into hotel 2am 1st June 2026 average room but very clean when and asked for a change of room at reception in the morning as the room faces a tower block and asked if we could have a pool view the hotel is partially full so loads of spare room and was told by a missable office manager no, with no explanation I was willing to pay if needed.very disappointing and a great start. Let’s hope it gets better.
