Just back from a 10 night stay at the Fuengirola Beach. We were there on a family holiday. We had booked a one bedroom apartment which is supposed to be suitable for a family. When we got into our room the bedroom was full of ants. After complaining to reception. We were moved immediately to another room. Which was fine. Although my mums room had ants at a later date during our stay. This seems to be an issue within this hotel which would need to be addressed. The room was very small and not really big enough for a family of four. It states there are sofa beds in the living area. But you are literally sleeping on a sofa. It doesn't fold out into a bed. Which is what I would class as a sofa bed. The beds in general were very uncomfortable. Also there is not very much entertainment at night for adults. I feel this would need looked at. As there is no atmosphere at night in the bar areas. Any entertainment is catered for children and this is over around 9. The hotel could do with some quality adult entertainment for adults. Maybe more people would remain in the hotel at night if this was the case. Also our beds were not changed once the whole time we were there. When the cleaner did come in the beds were just made,bin emptied and floor mopped. No cleaning in the bathroom. Just fresh towels left. Cleaing only done every 3rd day. On a positive note the food in the hotel is very nice and reasonably priced. All the bar staff are amazing and very friendly. There is no issue with sunbeds no matter what time you go down. Seems to be enough for everybody. Even though some people choose to do a bag queue for the pool opening at 10. No need really to do this. Also happy hour at the pool bar from 5 to 6 and then in the main bar from 6 to 7. This is quite good. The rooms which overlook the castle can be quite noisy with traffic etc. The Miramar Shopping Centre is directly across the road and the beach is a 7 minute walk with a bus stop directly outside to bring you into Fuengirola if you can't manage the 20min walk. Bus only 1.20 and run to after midnight which is handy. This hotel was fine but they would need to get the ant problem under control and maybe more adult entertainment at night. It's just a shame these two things let it down. Otherwise I would have give it a 5.

As a family of 4 with a 12 year old & a 16 year old we had the most AMAZING stay at this hotel. The facilities were brilliant, especially the football pitch for my son! The swimming pool was great with loads of space always a sunbed available despite people queueing to get one! The rooms were simple, but provided everything we needed the cleaners were lovely and always did a great job. We had a sea view if you looked to your left and looked over to the castle which was so nice. We made use of both the gym and the launderette which was so helpful €5 and you could do a massive wash really was such bonus. The location of the hotel was fantastic. It was around at 10/15 minute walk into the main bit of Fuengirola but we loved walking in on an evening. You could walk to the beach in around 7 minutes. The staff at the hotel were all just so lovely the happy hour between 5 pm and 6 pm was also brilliant. There was a massive Carrefour supermarket over the road in a huge shopping centre, which had absolutely everything. We booked paragliding and jet skiing plus a boat trip through get your guide which was really helpful. If you wanted to go anywhere by Taxi the hotel would happily book that for you and was very reasonable. We also used Uber which was super helpful. We have never said before that we would return to a hotel that we’d already been to, but we are seriously thinking about booking this one for next year as it was that good! The children were not allowed any balls or floats in the pool. The rooms do not have any oven or grill. There is very little cutlery or utensils and they are very small. The entertainment is very little and they do not encourage others to join in. They just assume children’s ages.

Where fuengirola is not for us as there is not much to do and we did not rate the beaches, the hotel it's self is a gem... I have read the negative reports and can say our stay was brilliant, we had 14 nights and everything was amazing... the only one small issues I could raise were the beds were slightly uncomfortable. However this is by no means a big thing. Things for the kids and family were amazing, the pool entertainer were really engaging, hotel very clean . If your wanting a family pool side holi6i would 100% recommend. A 2 minute walk to all shops even primark and a 10 minute walk to beach restaurants and some lovely drinking places.
