Third visit to the Hovima and again, it did not disappoint. Staff were first class, although one or two could smile a bit more. Good choice of food throughout, however a couple of the dishes could be a touch warmer. Comfortable room, aircon was good, no complaints. Food and service in the Ocean Blue Restaurant was excellent, and well managed by Pedro. Animation team were extremely friendly and hard working, and always had time for the guests. No sunbed wars which is great, plenty of available beds, however if you want a particular spot you need to pitch up shortly before pools open at 8.30. As said, staff were excellent, special mention to my friends Ariel the lifeguard and Pedro in the snack bar. The hotel also has a star in Abdul the waiter, a lovely friendly, hard working young man. Met many returning guests which is always a good sign, and we actually went with friends we first met 3 yrs ago in the hotel. We look forward to our next visit to the Hovima.

3rd year in a row at this hotel and absolutely loved it once again. Staff are lovely and I definitely think the Hovima Excellence Upgrade is more than worth the money. The hotel offers the best of rest and relaxation during the day- some fun games and activities for the more outgoing people, an wonderful entertainment in the evening. The entertainment team weren't as inviting this year as years gone by and only really spoke to certain guests, but I was fine with this. However, I know others were not. The most annoying thing about this hotel, which they can't really change, is the guests. The vibe around the Excellence pool is usually quiet because more people want to have a swim, read a book and sunbathe. During our holiday, two English girls came and they were really the most obnoxious people I have met. They had to make sure every person heard their conversation, with the thinner one constantly drolling 'REALLY' after every sentence. They sounded either cockney/ Birmingham, which was worse. One of them even shouted 'I need to go I need a wee,' to a woman that she and her friend were talking to in the pool directly beside her and yet I could hear this all the way from the third row of loungers. Another guest also couldn't stop drinking, vodka red bulls throughout the day and then onto others at night time, and going around hanging off strangers, giving them a backhanded compliments. If only the Hovima could screen their guests... they do everything else so well!

Room 638,we stayed drom 23rd July to August 6th our 9th stay at the Hovima. We had a wonderful time,as usual the staff were fantastic and it was lovely that branded drinks have been added this year. We went we friends and met some lovely people. Only real negatives Air con in Cool bar and restuarant was not cool enough and wifi not very good. However we will return. Graeme & Jackie Cook

We had a brilliant time at the Hovima Cool. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room was cleaned everyday. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff kept you entertained throughout the day and night. There was a good selection of food and it was served hot. Hotel is in a brilliant location near to beach and bars. We will definitely return.

Well equipped hotel with good access to local beaches. Varied and well prepared buffets. Friendly teams throughout the hotel, with talented and enthusiastic (but not intrusive) entertainment team. Family of four, staying in adjacent rooms. Basic but comfortable (628)
