Even better this time! This was my 5th time at this hotel so I knew what to expect. Basic no frills but clean and comfortable and a great place to relax. I had emailed the hotel to request a particular room and they did this which was great and the room was ready on arrival at 11am. Food this time round was much better than previous visits so was happy with that. Will be back again before the end of the year DONT LET THE BAD REVIEWS PUT YOU OFF !!

Apologies in advance for the long read, I’m currently staying at the Bungalows Vista Oasis in Maspolomas Gran Canaira. Before we came we were aware of the rooms not having air conditioning, the first night was ok the rooms are equipped with a standard fan. On doing some research i went to the reception about hiring an air conditioning unit from a place local to the hotel. The receptionist shook his head and took me over to a small sign beside the vending machine containing information about hiring all sorts of equipment. From wheelchairs, cots and irons. It also offered to hire an air conditioning unit. I went back the following morning and paid for the air conditioning unit hire. For a week this cost €107, €77 hire and €30 deposit. I paid for this just after 9:00 on Saturday and by 10:30 the air conditioning unit had been installed into the room. The pipe was put out of the bedroom window and then the cold air was running through the room. We managed to get another fan so put a fan close to the unit to blow the air further around the room. This was a game changer. We don’t have the unit on at night but having it on during the day is enough. The company who hire them out are called Blue Holiday Services. For anyone planning to visit this hotel it’s definitely worth the money. There is another company who offer them to hire in Gran Canaira and in fairness to them they said it’s probably better to hire through the hotel as it’s within the place. Bungalows Vista Oasis was always going to be a basic facility due to the lower price but it really was basic. No air con anywhere, no tea/coffee start ups in the room, towels were small and didn’t dry, shower was absolutely disgusting with a blocked drain meaning you had to keep turning off to allow for drainage time. Being a vegetarian I ate salad and bread for dinner every day. The mixed salads looked more interesting but always had fish mixed in with them so were a no no. The chocolate ice cream however was delicious and I had it every day. Checkout was at 10am (at least that was when the cleaners wanted access) and no facility for drinks etc from them although the shuttle bus wasn’t due to pick us up until 5.54pm.

Nice place to stay. Clean, plenty of sunbeds and brollies. They only let down was no air-conditioning but we were provided with a fan. Bungalow was clean, plenty of space. A small kitchen with a really good fridge and nice balcony with sunbeds, chair and table. There is a free bus service to Playa De Ingles twice a day. Once we found out way we walked down. To the end of the promenade and back is 6 miles. The staff are friendly, they never stopped cleaning and tidying the pool and bar/restaurant area. We stayed whilst the Maspalomas cup was on, so around 50 children and their extended family were there so the restaurant was busy in the evenings. A really nice touch - we arrived around 11:30 pm and were given two plates of food!! Such a nice touch, we were super impressed - thank you. Go and find La Proa!!!! Amazing coffee. We went twice, the 2nd time we had pizza and two beers it was absolutely gorgeous. The place was buzzing, the fish coming out to tables looked absolutely delicious. Overall lovely relaxing holiday
