Came here with one of my friends and genuinely wouldn't change a single thing about my experience here. Customer service is absolutely amazing, with all staff being super friendly. We only had breakfast in the hotel and I can definitely vouch for choice here. Many options and great variety. I have to say we were extremely lucky booking this hotel not knowing too much about the area, as we had the beach only 10 minutes walk from the hotel, a mass amount of pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants etc.- including franchises such as Burger King, mcdonalds, kfc, so we were never stuck for options. the streets were never EVER rowdy, besides all the people being in our age range ( between 18-25 id say ) and the nightlife having such a large atmosphere. The streets stay busy until around 5-6am, so I would just be conscious if you were considering a family holiday here. Besides that the ONLY thing slightly negative I have to say which is out of the hotels control, but whatever way the direction of the sun goes, if youre at the regular pool everyone has access to (not the rooftop) the sun does start going behind the building quite early, maybe from 2pm. So it would just be frustrating if it was busy so I would have to pick a seat in the shade while only certain sun loungers sit in the sun. however, that said, thats only the sun loungers at the pool, there is a little stairs that lead you to an upstairs with id say about 15 more sun loungers - the only thing is you'd just have to keep coming up and down whenever u want to go to the pool. Im genuinely sad writing this review because I had the most amazing time and cant wait to go back. If you're going with your friends you will genuinely have the best time with so many clubs, rooftop parties etc. even if you're night party animals, there is something for everyone !!
This is a 3 star hotel. How it got a 4 Star I really don't know. No tea/coffee facilities, rooms very basic. There is a bath but it doesn't work, water pressure dreadful, would take a couple of hours to fill a bath. The pool is small, limited sun loungers and very noisy being close to the road. High noise levels in the rooms. On the plus side the hotel is clean, the breakfast is good with plenty of choice. I wouldn't stay here again..
Stayed for 4 nights at the Gran Hotel Flamingo, as bed and breakfast. After booking, through reading reviews we learnt that the lovely upstairs pool and bar, the main thing that attracted us to this hotel, is not accessible without a higher grade room. Had we have known this we would have upgraded at booking, unfortunately the agents didn’t indicate this anywhere on the package holiday website. We emailed the hotel who advised to arrange on check in. We checked in, and said we wanted to upgrade and enquire about late checkout as we’ve a late flight home. We were then told to come back the next day, to be told it’s not possible to upgrade as they are fully booked, by the exact same person who checked us in. Surely something they would have known the night before? On enquiring the night before check out for late booking, we were told to coming back the morning of check out. We explained we keep getting told different things, when he then said he’s 95% sure it’s a no, as they are fully booked. There is a big different in the room quality and experience on the superior rooms, so I would suggest anyone who wants to come here upgrades. Or as we learnt, you would be better staying at the Delamar next door, who shares the same rooftop pool, with no restrictions. We felt rather mislead by the booking agent, compounded by lack of transparency from the hotel. The hotel communal areas are nice downstairs, and the breakfast is the main positive. But the staff are somewhat unhelpful, failing at check in to tell you how to get a towel for the pool, where breakfast is, or that you can order food round the pool. Rooms are quite noisy at night, as it’s largely 18-21 year olds, who come back throughout the early morning.
We have just returned from a lovely week staying at the Flamingo Gran Hotel Lloret de Mar. This is a very reasonably priced comfortable hotel. All areas are spotlessly clean. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choice well presented. All staff are friendly and helpful especially Valerie who works in the restaurant. She was so kind and attentive to all the guests. We look forward to returning again.
We paid extra for the better rooms and worth it for a massive bed, free safe and kettle. Free kettle, but a sign saying no coffee/tea, milk or sugar supplied.{Very strange}Our view was poor, overlooking the fire escapes at the rear. We had the "Magic Card" to get into the rooftop pool, and it was a nice, relaxing place to chill. The food was poor, the soup was like dishwater. Not really geared up for the British. First time I have been to a hotel in Spain that did not have ice cream for a pudding, no freezer at all.2 .60 euros for a small bottle of water with the evening meal.{say no more}Llorett has changed no live music or British bars. The beachfront bars were charging on average 7 euros for a pint of beer. Hundreds of teenage girls walking about and taking up the beach bars with expensive, fancy cocktails. The boys? They seemed to be more interested in setting fireworks off on the beach than romancing the young ladies.{Very strange}
