Always smiley always helpful lovely food if I could pick the hotel up and put near beach id be back but the area is so run down with many addicts which as a mum bringing her child had me a little worried but I never worried while in the hotel always staff guarding the door

City Hotel, All staff were excellent, really helpful and friendly, one even walked down the road to organise a cab for us. As previous reviews advise, turn left as right you will soon see alot of Junkies, not really threatening anyone, but was upsetting especially if you have kids with you. Metro is 150mtrs away at roundabout, metro is clean easy to use, cheap and felt alot safer than London Tube. Tickets are cheap ,buy from machine in station, machines have an English language button in bottom left corner of screen.Hotel pool is great with amazing views of Acropolis, Bar staff were good, I was drinking Metaxa and coke, which they hadn't heard of,,,,but they all liked trying it after there shifts had finished. All in all a good hotel, good breakfast included and well placed to tour Athens.

The staff make the place! Very Friendly and helpfull. The rooms are good and the breakfest is fine. The suroundings if you go to the lift oke and the metro is near.

Location was a bit seedy but didn't get any issues, the room was clean, however there were paint stains in the carpet. The other issue was the shower didn't have a ledge at the bottom, so when having a shower the water would come out into the rest of the bathroom and there was only 1 bath mat, which was not sufficient . I could hear the couple next in the next room, and the card for the door was quite tricky but i persevered and it was ok. The value was ok, breakfast was included and there was a nice selection. The noise from outside was annoying especially during the day as there were coaches right outside the window with their reverse beeps sounding. Additionally they have their own car park which i didn't use. There is a nice Greek restaurant Alexander The Great 4 mins away which was excellent, highly recommend
