Firstly the location of the hotel is completely perfect, direct access to the beach down some steps at the side of the pool. Food was plentiful and varied but unfortunately most of it is cold, there are microwaves dotted about, and it can take a while for a waiter to come and take your drinks order. The drinks choice is very varied but I can honestly say I had the worst pina colada I have ever been served, absolutely awful. We had a corner room with a double view, one of the beautiful sea front and one of the stage, if you are travelling with young children and get a room overlooking the pool, it is extremely noisy at night until midnight. The entertainment was very mixed, we enjoyed the downstairs bar lounge, on the main stage we watched a fantastic show on the Saturday night, the Abba tribute act were shocking, they mimed all night and didn’t actually sing a note, quite embarrassing, the mum and sons act were terrible but two of them were quite obviously poorly, I’m sure a replacement act could have been found. Beware a lot of the sunbeds are in the shade for a large part of the day, no rush for these for obvious reasons. My biggest concern was smoking and vaping, the designated area is the covered terrace, but some very rude and selfish people just vaped and smoked wherever they wanted and were never challenged, no ashtrays should be a clue !! Overall we did have a lovely holiday and we would definitely return, just hope some of the issues could be addressed.

Spent a week at the Golden Donaire beach resort. Arrived after a really smooth journey from the UK. Check in was smooth and staff were helpful and explained everything for us. Hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach and close to local bars, shops and restaurants. Our room was on the 7th floor and had a great view of the promenade and sea over the pool area. Main Restaurant was buffet style and well organised, food was plentiful well cooked and varied with a great choice suited to all tastes. At busier times there was a bit of a shortage of tables for 2, (using a 4 was frowned upon). Xaloc bar which was open to the public offered a great service for drink and food. There was regular entertainment in the evening which we enjoyed most nights. Pool was clean and tidy with plenty of sun loungers, there were some that waited at 9am for the doors to open to save there favourite spots. We never had a problem finding a spot later on. Service throughout our stay was absolutely brilliant with all staff (bar restaurant and housekeeping) being helpful efficient and polite. Entertainments team worked their socks to give everyone a great time. Thanks to all and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Where do I even start? Firstly, the member of staff Ruslan is the rudest person I had to ever encounter in my life. Has zero social morals and would work overtime to not resolve the issue but to add more on top of what you already experience. The rest of the staff are ok with the exception of few. The location is all you get in this hotel other than that nothing else is worth the money they ask for. The food is mediocre at best, next to nothing choices, cold food, dried and unseasoned. Selection of fruits also is very poor. They do say it is all inclusive but that’s an overstatement. At the bar they have a menu for snacks which at any point you ask they have almost nothing available from the menu and keep on pushing their ham and cheese toasty …. So much for an all inclusive 4* hotel…. The wait at the bar is unreal, to get a simple refill of your fizzy drink you have to wait at least 5min at best. Other hotels in the area are very different and you can go and refill yourself the drinks, beer, sangria and some cocktails. The pool is tiny, for such a big hotel to have a tiny pool is just a joke, I have seen the hotel reply on this matter to another person that visited and the reply was: “As with any hotel pool, it can become busy during periods of high occupancy, particularly at peak times. We do understand, however, that a busy pool environment may not be to everyone's preference”…. This has nothing to do with preference of busy environments, you placed a tiny pool without being able to accommodate your guests and take pictures on the website to present it as such a big pool, the power of angles is what they believe in. Entertainment….no comment … what entertainment? The towels and bed covers are since the day the hotel was opened in the 60’s. People that come there are very bizarre as well, I had this couple next door who at any point I came to the balcony they were just there, the woman was sunbathing like a cave person on the balcony floor and kept complaining loudly about my music which was on such a low volume (if I heard them you can imagine the volume) the cigarette smell was also not nice for them, and in general the sense of entitlement was disgusting at best. Basically anything, any move made you will hear the complain loudly enough making sure I can hear, very passive aggressive and just bad vibes all together. Other people there were also very rude, running after the food in the restaurant, like why are you running? Also starring, the starring was sending me to some other dimensions, I know I travel solo and this is beyond some humans comprehension but manners are free to use and to stare so much at someone who is trying to eat is just weird. This was not just one occasion, this was reoccurring and I have not experienced such bad manners elsewhere in such capacity. Just bad vibes honestly which I have not experienced in any other hotels in this world. Also, the hotel looks like a hostel from the outside with all the towels and bathing suits drying on the glass panel at the balconies, it looks absolutely horrible, for a 4* hotel to not be able to put a drying rack on the balcony is beyond me, but we move. The restaurant is open for the public as well which is very unsettling. Also just outside the terrance of the restaurant there is the communal shower that people use after the beach so one night I just couldn’t stop laughing at how ridiculous that looks from the side, some are all dressed sitting at the terrance enjoying their wine with the view of someone washing their bottom and trying to scrape the sand off of them, honestly? A privacy fence or panel would be great but again, for a money hungry hotel might be too much to ask for. There are waaaay better hotels in the area so I would highly suggest to avoid this one and save your money, you can go estival park which might not be right on the beach but the price is reasonable and you get way better treatment and overall way better experience from every angle. This was my first time in this hotel and my last.
