The rooms are quite run down and could definitely do with some maintenance and updating. Unfortunately, the door to our room didn’t even lock properly, which was concerning from a security point of view. The pool was extremely cold and didn’t appear particularly clean during our stay. There are also areas where the flooring is cracked and generally looking quite tired. Breakfast is provided at a different hotel rather than on-site, which isn’t particularly convenient. Overall, based on the condition of the accommodation and facilities, I personally don’t feel it offers good value for money. With some maintenance, improved cleanliness and attention to the rooms, it could be a much better experience.
Arrived extremely late in the night and some one welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Was disappointed the room had no view, we were like in an internal space with rooms below and above and one next to us which my daughter later moved too. We had a small kitchenette which had a coffee machine but no jug, so quick trip to lidl and bought a small kettle :) The room was large and clean and had what was needed in it. The bathroom again was spacious and had a full sized bath, my daughter's room had a very small bath. Water was always hot. The pool was great and always plenty of beds and space, there is a bar up there which has a small menu. The man who runs it turns up at no designated time and your unable to take your own drinks or food there, so some times your waiting a long time to rehydrate. Food is great and reasonable priced, I just wish he would allow cards as we had to go and get cash back at the reception many times to be able to pay. A few days the maid didn't bother with our cleaning, i thought it was because we had left something on the bed, but my daughters wasn't cleaned either, three days on the bounce, was the longest. When they did change the sheets there was a rip in the bedding. Took it off as didn't want my daughter playing with it and making it worse. My only complaints were other guests, smoking drugs openly by the pool and also on balconies. When you have small children and babies in the hotel I don't feel this is acceptable. One night both rooms were disturbed by some very loud adult action, the screaming from her and the "bulldog noises" from him, not necessary😂😂 Being asked by a 7year old what the noises were was a hard one to reply too😂😂 Underneath is we had a spanish family of all adults who felt it was ok to sit on their balcony till 02.30/3am nightly talking and drinking. Had we not been in a sealed space this might not have been so bad. It was like being in a huge chimney space is the only way to describe it. It would be better to be told balconies out of bounds after a certain time. You can't shut the balcony doors as there is no air con and we did rent a fan, but you also need fresh air. There is limited parking spaces but the staff were amazing and saved us a disabled space every day as it's a ten min walk to get from the hospital where there is ample free parking. I did take my UK badge with me and it was accepted every where. Do not do like we did though in town and use a disabled space with a number on it, as we got towed😂😂 this is resident private disabled parking. You have to pay the police and the tow company. Didn't book the breakfast so can't say what it was like. There are cleaning products and tea and coffee you can buy in the reception, we went to lidl and got salt and pepper for less than a euro and washing up liquid was similar price. Jar of Nescafé hazelnut coffee and milk for our daily brew :) The hotel is up a large hill, doesn't take long to walk down, we had two kids and a push chair and still only took about ten mins, didn't try to walk back up, taxis varied from 4 euros to 5.80 euros. Outside the reception are some seats and the children loved to watch the many lizards basking in the sun or running around. Didn't see any living cockroaches there but they were aplenty in the town and large:) Will definitely return but will ask for a balcony with a view as would have been nice to have had pizza on the balcony and not have to sit and look at four brick walls. Would have used the outside space far more than for just drying swim wear on the drying racks supplied. As stated early on the hotel is fine, clean and reasonable priced, some of the spanish guest's not so thoughtful.
