First the good. The hotel was relatively clean. Room was bright and bed comfy. We were given a pool view room. Spa was stunning and great value. Now the bad. The walls are paper thin. You hear everything. The noise was horrendous. You will get zero sleep even with earplugs. Shouting and banging into the early hours just constantly. The food was vile. I cannot believe this is a four star hotel. It was more like two star. The most basic and always cold. Everything was repeated each day same poor choice. The deserts were tiny squares of cake that weren’t replenished when low. The staff on reception who checked us in were lovely. The staff on the bar and restaurant were miserable. I gave up trying to get a drink at the bar after being ignored by the bar man who was too busy chatting to either his girlfriend or a female guest. The hotel is overlooked by rundown looking flats. I was so disappointed with this hotel and would never return. It’s nowhere near four star plus
The hotel is very cozy, comfortable and relaxing, the beds are very comfortable, the stuff is kind, positive and very helpful, the location is excellent, but the food is poor, all in all is good ♥️
I would strongly advise against staying at Hotel Alegria Paris Plaza in Lloret de Mar, especially if you are pregnant or travelling with children. The air conditioning did not work, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. I am pregnant and suffered a lot because of the heat, and the hotel did not provide a satisfactory solution. The cleaning standards were also very poor. Bins were not emptied, rubbish was left in the rooms, and it felt like the only thing being done was making the beds. This is not the standard of cleanliness I would expect from a hotel. We also had a very unpleasant incident with a man outside the hotel who was making threatening and vile comments towards us. We informed the hotel about what had happened, but their response was extremely disappointing. Rather than taking the situation seriously or making us feel safe, we were simply advised to call the police and speak to the man. We expected the hotel to show more concern for the safety and wellbeing of its guests. I also was room 127 with a balcony facing the side street, sleep was interrupted due high levels of volume throughout the night. Because of all these issues, we decided to leave the hotel early. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay became extremely stressful and upsetting.
