They advertise a swimming pool, but it hasn't been open for a while. I think they shut it down to better promote their spa service, which is $100 USD. False advertising. They put me in a second building behind their building facing the river. It seems older and the view I had was of walls and a bit of walkway. The room configuration was kind of squirrelly. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is quite convenient to the Old Town, which was quite nice, but lots of cobblestones, and the hotel is walkable to the central train station, bus station and shopping centers. So good location, but ask for the main building and don't bother to bring a swimsuit.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. This hotel is perfectly situated 5 minutes walk to the old town and excellently placed for transport. It is comfortable and spotlessly clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice including freshly cooked pancakes, fresh fruit, hot food, breads and pastries. Our riverside room was fantastic and air conditioning meant we could leave the windows shut eliminating all road noise. Book direct as you get good prices and a free drink. We couldn't have picked a better hotel. I am sure we will be back as we adored Riga.

This was our first time in Latvia, from the airport we took bus #22 and within thirty minutes we had arrived near the city centre with a brief walk to the hotel, check-in was smooth and staff were welcoming. Our assigned room was in the building fortunately behind the main building which is on the busy riverside road, our room was spacious, spotless, quiet and comfortable over our three night stay. The room amenities included block out curtains, a microwave, electric jug with tea/coffee, coffee pod machine and an iron. The bed and pillows were comfortable, controls for the air-conditioning and Youtube on TV. Doors closing and guests talking in the corridor could occasionally be heard. Breakfast was served in a large canteen style room with a variety of long communal tables and tables for two to four people. There was a comprehensive selection of food and drinks including sparkling wine, hot and cold dishes, it was surprising to see Kimchi and other Korean pickles on the buffet. Omelettes and fried eggs could be ordered on demand. Dining room staff were very prompt at cleaning away dirty dishes. House keeping is available on request but we found they attended after two nights anyway which was much appreciated. The hotel was well located on the edge of the town for exploring beautiful Riga, and handy to cafes and bars, museums and the train station.
