Breakfast rooms were full, people had to be in line for the breakfast. When we arrived, we had two rooms. While going to rooms, we notived, that other room was not cleaned after other guests. Hotel cleaned the room guickly.

Pleasant reception area with comfortable seats. The lifts were poor. One was out of action for most of our three day stay, the other was small and very slow. The staff seemed unaware of the situation. Our room was adequate, but designed poorly. Being long and thin the only place to put the case was in the bay window. Being able to open the window was a bonus though. The curtains were on the room side of the bay so got in the way of moving round the bed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good with plenty if space in the shower. However the soap duspenser was away from the sink behind the hair dryer, whilst the body lotion was right next to the sink. The heated towel rail kept it warm and dried the towels. We never got the room made up despite leaving the green light on. Plenty of choice at breakfast, but i would have expected a better fresh fruit selection especially as the nearby market had some fantastic fruit cheap. Excellent location for walking round Riga and with plenty of restaurants nearby.

A very good stay at a pleasant mid-range hotel. The location is excellent - close to the old town, outstanding transport links, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and all the amenities you could need. The hotel itself was very good - exceptionally clean, quiet, the staff were pleasant and we very much enjoyed our stay! We visited the spa which was very nice (although it was unclear on the booking if the cost was additional or included, we did pay extra which wasn’t a problem at all and worth it, but the booking system was quite ambiguous) and the food in the restaurant was very tasty. Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought the Wellton was excellent for the price. My only feedback which has slightly reduced my score down from excellent - the room got very warm despite the radiators being off, the meals in the restaurant were very small portions (although the food was excellent) and housekeeping didn’t make up or change the beds despite cleaning the room, emptying bins etc which we were surprised at. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again! Would also highly recommend Riga or Latvia in general as a wonderful place to visit and explore!
