I stayed here with my boyfriend and mum for 3 nights over the August bank holiday and, honestly, it was a stressful trip from the beginning. When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel's all-inclusive service only runs from 12pm on the day of arrival until 12pm on the day of departure. This was not made clear to us before booking and meant that, due to our late departure, we were left without food or drinks for around 7 hours before leaving for the airport. There was no compromise offered. Had we known this before booking, I would never have chosen this hotel. We feel let down both by the hotel and the booking provider, as this information was apparently not provided to either of us before the holiday. This was particularly concerning because my mum has Parkinson's and needs to take medication every 2 hours, making access to water extremely important. We raised this with reception, as drinks require a cup card, and were laughed at and told that there was no other option. I found this response completely unacceptable. After speaking to reception again and making a complaint, we were told that we would be allowed to have water. However, the following day, when we tried to obtain water, we were told that this was not allowed without a cup card. This was extremely frustrating, especially after we had already explained the circumstances. Unfortunately, the service from some of the bar staff was also very disappointing. There was very little enthusiasm and at times it felt as though we were a burden simply for asking for drinks. One older male member of staff in particular was consistently rude. We were also asked to be fully clothed when entering the bar after being by the pool. We completely understand and respect the rule; however, when we were turned away for this and then saw other guests being served shortly afterwards while still wearing bikinis and swimming shorts, it was difficult to understand why the rule appeared to be applied inconsistently. We also reported a broken shower in one of our two rooms within two hours of checking in. We raised this with reception on four separate occasions during our 3-day stay. Each time, we were told that maintenance had been called, but nobody ever came to fix it. As guests who had paid a significant amount of money to stay here, we were extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and the way several issues were handled throughout our stay. There were some positives. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the food options were okay, although I would not consider them 4-star standard. Unfortunately, the walls are also extremely thin, and we could hear people shouting, screaming and running through the corridors throughout the night. Overall, I would strongly recommend being aware of the all-inclusive timings before booking, particularly if you have a late departure or early arrival. Being left without food or drinks for several hours in 30+ degree heat, despite raising our concerns, was extremely disappointing. For us, the poor communication, lack of resolution to basic issues and the way our concerns were handled meant that this was unfortunately a 2-star experience.

I am gluten free and found the dining room manager Maria was so helpful she showed me all the safe foods each lunch and dinner which took a lot of the stress out of meal times,,, no down days due to feeling sick this holiday, she was so kind and professional. All the staff were corteous even when they had to deal with some awkward indivduals we happened to witness during our stay. Cleaning staff excellent fresh towels etc always available. Angel is also a very professional bartender at the sun terrace on eight floor.
