The hotel is spotless Staff are helpful Rooms are a little dated but still cleaned everyday Food is lovely. Something for everyone, even fussy eaters Pools are clean and not crowded You do need to be in the queue by 8.45 to het a bed but plenty for everyone The best part is the entertainment team They are so friendly and nice and made our experience better Bar staff are nice too keeping the drinks flowing Only one point to make is when booking a room ask for a room not on or facing flower street as its a noisy at night Thank you kuban hotel . This review is based off me reading lots of them two weeks before a family of 16 of us headed out to hotel Cuban. What I will say is people will leave reviews if they’ve had a negative experience, not many people leave positive ones — this experience has made me realise I need to do both. I’m humble person, I don’t travel luxury but I can’t say this hotel should be a 4* But please read this review if previous ones have scared the BEJESUS out of you. I really don’t think it’s as bad as the previous reviews said. Hotel and Room - The hotel itself I feel is good, the slides were great, kept the kids entertained all day from 9 am till 6 pm. Even the adults were loving it. GOLDEN NUGGET INFO- There isn’t much room to grab beds, but maybe this was because there was 16 of us.. on the fourth floor there is a Terrace (sun trap) we lived up there, plenty of beds, little bar- PERFECT, I used to get up at nine, go for breakfast then head to the Terrace and put my towels out, never an issue. Good areas of shade as well as being a Suntrap. - I stayed in a double family room, the rooms are quite dated, nothing was broken, or visibly neeeded fixing. shower was great - hairdryer WAS NOT 🤣, there is one main room with a pull-out couch, and a double room attached which is separated by a door, brilliant for families. Both rooms had a separate balcony, however no room on the balcony to sit around as a family and have a drink play card etc, all rooms had the same balconies. The bed was actually very comfortable, and rooms were cleaned each day (if required) the cleaning staff were lovely and friendly, and always asked if we wanted anything doing. I personally only sleep in my bedroom so this is never a massive deal for me. - Beautiful view of the sea, and i actually think whichever side you looked over had a good view, my son had an amazing sunset view. The hotel is LITERALLY on the strip, however once the doors were shut, I personally didn’t hear anything. (could hear downstairs more than I could the clubs.) - we only watched one night for entertainment, and it was the magician we probably laughed for all the wrong reasons. The doors didn’t open till 9 pm, and there wasn’t lots of space but we managed to get a table on the one night we did stay in. - Sunday they have a day off where nothing happens. - get your entertainment ready parents - Kids disco is from nine till half past, same thing each night, but this is very dependent on the children’s ages, as ours ranged from 5 to 18 🤣 young ones loved it, older ones not so much Restaurant / drinks - main restraunt. So unfortunately, there isn’t anything great to say about the food however we did NOT get served raw food, the options are limited, nice salad bar and fruit bar. I never struggle with all inclusive food, and trust me when I say I wouldn’t have starved, but I wasn’t able to eat a full meal. This is where it became an expensive all-inclusive holiday. - I was highly impressed that you are able to self serve fizzy drinks in the morning and hot drinks of an evening. every hotel I’ve ever been to does not do this and you are only allowed fruit juices and hot drinks. - Snack bar was a godsend. Pizza, chips, popcorn, doughnuts, waffles, ice cream machine. Kids lived in there. - my niece was halfway through eating her soup and it got whipped from under her, we found it amusing, lots of people complained about this, but they’re not rude, just go get another one, more washing up for them. - For the love of God go and buy some cups, you are served drinks in the smallest plastic cups, wide selections of all-inclusive alcohol, including cocktails, the tropical storm did get me drunk, but it came with a side order of heartburn with every drink. -The bar on the terrace shuts at six, and although this member of staff was lovely, he literally stopped serving us mid order to shut the bar 🤣 he only needed to serve two more drink drinks. STAFF ( this is personal to one specific staff member) - I can honestly say I didn’t experience Huge issues with the staff, they were friendly enough, some friendly than others but I didn’t experience any rude , HOWEVER and I have to point her out there is one particular member of staff, and she was only seen at breakfast flipping pancakes (VERY RUDE), all I will say is make sure you know how many pancakes you want when you get to the front of that queue. Transfer - Days out - it’s literally about 30 minutes from the airport, some of the family members got a taxi which cost €65. Definitely would recommend getting on the transport. - there’s a lovely little shuttle train outside the front that can take you to the old town that’s a nice day out, and we also did a jeep and the waterpark (recommend this) The front of the hotel and the surrounding area areas is very very repetitive, you will get touched by people with parrots, snakes, lizards and people wanting you to go in their bars. - this to me is standard, but is annoying lol Beach - The beach was lovely sea was clean (except a bit of seaweed kept getting wrapped around my leg which I did not like, and unfortunately we did witness jellyfish) it’s five minutes from the hotel, very easy to book your sunbeds and umbrella. She was lovely and warm, banana boat wasn’t very exciting( I blame the kids getting on it ha ha ha ha) Overall - I can’t say I would return to hotel Kuban, but I also will say I enjoyed myself, i’m a massive believer that it’s who you’re with and not where you are. It was a very expensive all inclusive holiday because we ate and Drank out most days, spent our evenings in Jacks bar Next Door drinking cocktails - HIGHLY recommend this bar. The food and drinks outside the hotel are not expensive, but when you do that consecutively over a 10 day holiday, it becomes costly. There is a McDonald’s, a KFC, and loads of little kebab places spread out, so plenty of choice and some are cheaper than others. - if you’re not in a position to be able to do this, like said earlier you won’t staff, and there are drinks being served till 11 pm. We are bulgarian family. We was in room B203 from 14.08 till 16.08. Very kind personal. High quality of service. Special thanks to Marieta from the reception. Very professional attitude. Thank you, Marieta! The atmosphere in the hotel is very special. We will back soon again.
