We had a wonderful time in this hotel. The people here are incredibly hospitable, very friendly, and are always ready to help. You really feel welcome here. We want to thank Ria enormously for her wonderful service; she made our stay extra special. Thank you so much Ria!
We had booked a 'run of the house' in advance. This means you just get a random room assigned. We already thought we would get an old room, and so that was the case too. The room was very old-fashioned, with a cold shower (it wouldn't get warmer than cold). The room was also not spotlessly clean, but it was good enough to stay in. The air conditioning and the refrigerator worked well, fortunately. I am not very pleased with the staff and the food. Most staff members (especially the man at the reception) are not hospitable (which they clearly indicate on the website). The food was minimal, but sufficient. It is a challenge for picky eaters. The meat did not look well-done (or too well-done) most days, so I didn't dare to eat it. There are 'snacks' available in between. This is only dry bread and some nuts. All in all, it was certainly not a bad experience, but we were outside the hotel more often than in and around the hotel. I'm not coming back here 👍🏻
When I chose this 3-star hotel with an average rating, I thought I would have a wasted vacation, but something made me decide to go ahead with it. It turned out to be a great stay. The room was rustic and spacious, with a large fridge and freezer, and even a stove and dishes for those who wanted to cook (which wasn’t my case). The room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed every day, except on Sunday. The staff was very friendly (I’d like to give a special mention to Efi—she was extremely warm and always eager to help). The food was varied and tasty—I’d say I’ve eaten worse at 4-star hotels in Greece than I did here. The beach was very close by, and a supermarket right next to the hotel had everything you needed. The surrounding area is great, with many shops, taverns, and restaurants. The only downside is the very unpleasant smell in the bathroom, which could also be smelled in the room—I didn’t even ask to change rooms when I saw that many guests had complained about it, because I understood that it was a problem with the hotel. It’s a real shame; if they could fix it, I’m sure guests would appreciate the hotel much more.
