The hotel is situated up a steep hill which we already were aware of but not great for anyone with disabilities to reach without driving. On arrival frontage of hotel clean and welcoming as is the reception area. Hotel staff very good, polite and welcoming with plenty of information and made check in easier than it already was. Hotel it’s self is tired and in need of refreshment through out, decor looking shabby and as advertised as 4 star in reality is a 3 star at best. Rooms are spacious and the bed is possibly the best most comfortable hotel bed ever slept in, again decor tired, bath rooms spacious and clean but cracked floor tiles which are lose allowing movement of small pieces of tile. Our room over looked the pool area and across Albir towards Benidorm so loverly views. Table and chairs on balcony but again looking at facade of rooms opposite all needs a lick of paint. Electronic safe if room which is an excellent choice, flat screen tv with very limited access to English channels mainly Spanish or Scandinavian but only used as background noise while changing in evening. Air con also very good and fridge worked. Rooms cleaned daily to a good standard again cannot fault staff. Only thing missing from room was a kettle with complementary tea and coffee making facilities which having stayed in lesser star hotels is always welcoming and a god send in morning when getting up rather than having to wait until breakfast for a drink. The Spar was used and for the facial booked was good value for money and again staff excellent and professional. Dinning room adequate and as we only had breakfast booked food was ok with a few choices of hot or cold. No individual yogurt just two large bowls allowing all to breath over but fruit plenty full available. Down side at night with other guests coming home 1-2am allowing doors to slam several times every night, accessing the pool at 2am laughing and splashing around and not being dealt with by the hotel staff. Same with door slamming guests have to walk past reception to access corridors to room so easily identified who is doing this also there are cctv cameras but this happens nightly. Overall staff excellent and helpful smartly dressed in uniform but hotel desperate for an overhaul and refurbishment before it at best becomes a 2 star due to it’s tiredness and perhaps reviewing how it deals with noise issues at night and definitely addressing access to pool areas and dealing with anyone that accesses in middle of the night. Would we stay here again is yes after a refurbishment as location is ideal for all areas of Albir.

Disappointing experience I was gifted a voucher to enjoy at the hotel, but due to illness and circumstances, I could not go. I contacted the hotel hoping to find an alternative; they asked me to send the voucher, and in the end, they did not allow me to go to the spa and enjoy the gift. I found it to be an inconsiderate way to treat a customer, especially when it was a gift that was very appreciated by me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE EXPERIENCE DUE TO THE LACK OF EMPATHY AND WILLINGNESS TO FIND A SOLUTION.

We stayed here for 8 nights after a booking of 650 euros per person. The location is good, close to the center of Albi. We had half board. The breakfast was good and there was variety at the buffet every day. At dinner, the buffet was also good and different every day. The food was good and correct. Our room was clean, beds made up every day and the bathroom cleaned, we got clean towels every day without asking. The mattress was spotless and clean. The pool was very nicely kept. For this price everything was fine but it is not 4-star food. The staff was very helpful and very friendly.
