The experience with this hotel and staff are absolutely disgusting. We arrive to the hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary given we hardly get away this was meant to be a very special time for us that was completely ruined. The room I paid for was NOT the room I was given… the room was in such a state dirty, smelly, concrete beds, rusty fixtures I could go on. Photos added When speaking the reception he advised the rooms on the internet are not the rooms in this hotel.. I asked him to change us and he said he can’t. After being told these rooms are NOT at this hotel me and my husband had to book another hotel for the week. We tried the food was absolutely disgusting was like slop and the meet was just fat and grisly. The fruit was nice! The all inclusive bar… the drinks are very very cheap and we did pay for all inc but ended up never eating and drinking from this hotel. After the police showed up one evening, that was it for us absolute disgrace. The reception advised to come back to speak to a manager which I did on several occasions to speak to a manger who happened to never show up until two days before we were leaving to then tell me I can have a different room. The manager did ask what the problem was as I explained why I was unhappy he started to get aggressive was talking over me, said his hotel is a 5* service as he PAID €1000 for a bathroom door! This hotel is a 1* that’s being generous I left the key and walked out as he carried on shouting as I left…
We had the best holiday, if you go on holiday for a cheap getaway don’t be expecting the ritz, let’s reset your expectations. A holiday is what you make of it, if you focus on the bad when you’re already there what is the point. We were so skeptical reading the reviews but can hand on heart say do not believe the reviews if you do what we did, upgrade to sea view room and you will have no issues. Our view was incredible and our room was clean and the cleaning staff were very lovely. The location is incredible, yes it isn’t suitable for people with accessibility issues as there are a lot of steps but it is possible if you request a room within the main hotel it is important to contact the hotel in advance with your requests and requirements. The beach was beautiful, we didn’t mind that we had to pay for sun loungers as seeing that beautiful view in front of our eyes everyday was repayment enough for us. The food was basic, but plenty of authentic greek restaurants around, bars, cafes and shops all affordable prices. Cocktails are disgusting and beer is probably the only alcoholic drink that is manageable because somehow even when requested rum and coke it came out of the vodka bottle, the bar only had 2 bottles of spirits but a list as long as your arm of spirits to choose from… mind blowing. ONLY BAD THING - The only thing I will point out and maybe this is something the hotel should do more training in - there was a young girl waitress and an older guy with glasses in the restaurant who stood and laughed and was pointing at my friend who looked absolutely fabulous and they were both stood pulling faces they even ran to get other staff involved I can only imagine they were doing this because my friend is gay - this is disgusting customer service and discrimination. I hope they both are ashamed of themselves. We did not let this ruin our holiday as it’s more a reflection of those people and we understood we were in a bit of a rural area.
Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Be warned the hotel is advertised as a village and that’s exactly what it is. 300+ rooms staggered between roads and up mountains. We were given the highest/furthest room away from main hotel area which was literally a hike up a mountain to get to. The all inclusive package is a joke too. We had one meal and half a beer each in the whole week we stayed here. It was cold, tasteless and most concerningly not labelled so we not sure what meat we actually ate. The electricity turned off for half a day in our room and on another day the water was off. Both times we trekked to reception to be told someone would be out soon and we’re still waiting now. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would however recommend to destination. Lots of beautiful beaches, some very cute Greek cafes and restaurants and locals are lovely. Just stay away from the Bali and Sophia hotel.
