WORST HOTEL/HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE EVER We have booked several holidays through On the Beach and have always had brilliant holidays, so we genuinely never expected our stay at Ona Don Juan to be anything like this. From the moment we arrived, things were disappointing. Reception was chaotic, with teenagers pushing and shoving to get to the desk. Our room had extremely poor air conditioning, ants and filthy walls. The room was unbearably hot at night, making it almost impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, the biggest problem was the behaviour of the huge number of teenagers staying at the hotel. Every single night we had shouting, loud music, doors being banged and people knocking on our door at all hours. This frightened our six-year-old daughter and meant we got virtually no sleep throughout our entire stay. We initially thought it was simply because it was Saturday night, but the same thing happened every night. We also found some of the bar and pool bar staff extremely rude and felt they spoke to us as though we were an inconvenience. We specifically chose a hotel with a children's pool, but when we went to use it, it was full of teenagers messing around. We didn't feel comfortable letting our daughter in, so we had to use the main pool, which was too deep for her. Breakfast was another disaster. There was no cutlery on the tables, teenagers were pushing and shoving and the food was poor. We had booked bed and breakfast but decided not to eat breakfast there again. We then had a serious toilet problem. After flushing, somebody else's faeces came back through our toilet. Reception did deal with it quickly, but this should never happen in a supposedly four-star hotel. On the morning we left, a powder fire extinguisher had been discharged in the hallway. We reported it to security at reception. They appeared to know what had happened and even said the guests responsible should have been kicked out. If they knew this, why were these guests allowed to continue behaving this way? We also witnessed what appeared to be underage drinking and completely unacceptable behaviour, yet the hotel seemed unwilling or unable to deal with it. We spoke to another guest who was equally unhappy and told us her mother-in-law had been moved from Block B because it was full of teenagers. Unfortunately, our room was also in Block B. This hotel may be advertised as four-star, but our experience was absolutely nowhere near four-star. In our opinion, it was more like a one- or two-star experience. We go on several holidays a year because our autistic daughter absolutely loves holidays, and we have never experienced anything like this before. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel and holiday experience we have ever had. I am honestly just glad we didn't have our entire family with us on this holiday. Avoid if you are looking for a peaceful family holiday.

no wifi, cold food, there were pillows with blood on them, moldy rooms, bad service, they don't help you if there is something, cleaning never happens and you get a completely different room than the one you book. we were supposed to get a balcony with chairs and everything, we couldn't even stand on the balcony, no table, no chairs and we looked at an old dirty building. very bad hotel, do not book!

What can I say about this vacation at the Don Juan, very disappointed on all points. I understand well that Lloret de Mar is famous for partying, but excuse me, in a 4-star hotel there are rules, but not at the Don Juan. It is anarchy, no respect for the rules established in the internal regulations. 9 nights without sleeping, screaming in the hallways at all hours, banging on doors, it is scary. A security guard, yes, but not at all reactive to situations. From the 2nd day I complained to the manager, he told me you shouldn't come in August, rather October. Great answer. So they let the young people do this so it fills the 800 rooms. However, I think the stars will fall one by one. The staff, nothing to say, they are very brave to work in such conditions. All inclusive is a disgrace, it is 400€ for 10 days for us, a disgrace. Alcohol is very bad, a fake sangria, beer is very bad, soda without bubbles, fake cocktails, a catastrophe, the coffee is disgusting, forced to pay 2€ at the bar 4 times a day, 8€, a small 80€ while being all inclusive, total lie, it is theft. The management is totally absent. I crossed paths with numerous people who were really disappointed like us. Very bad experience, we will never come back, even for free. Good luck to the hotel staff and to the clients who paid very dearly for a vacation at the Don Juan.
