Very pleasant hotel in a very good central location to many sights! Very friendly and good service! Delicious breakfast buffet! We felt very comfortable and would book again immediately.

Location could not be better - smack bang next to the House of the Blackheads in Rātslaukums and Dome Square. The hotel itself is extremely basic - no bar, rooms are small and bare and the furniture is barely functional. The breakfast was fine but served orange cordial instead of juice, otherwise it was OK - a bit lukewarm, but did the job. But the big issue is the bedding. There was a double bed but it had two very small duvets, not even big enough to call "single" size. And that was it. The moment you turn over in the bed, the quilt has gone! I asked the unhelpful man on reception if he had a full size duvet I could have and he either couldn't be bothered finding out or he just confirmed they don't have proper bedding. It will (and did) ruin your sleep, especially if you stay in cooler months. For that reason alone I would not recommend this place: a good night's sleep is the absolute prerequisite of a hotel stay. Shame really - this review could have been a lot better but for that.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting in terms of service. While I was just heading to the washroom, one of the attendants blatantly gave me the middle finger. That is unbelievably rude, childish, and completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for staff to behave like that toward a guest. Instead of basic respect, I was insulted for no reason. Management should be ashamed, and I would never recommend this place to anyone
