Our stay at Linda Hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing. We knew in advance that the hotel was a bit old, because it was recommended to us by my uncle and his family, who have been regular guests here for years. That the hotel was outdated was no surprise to us either. What we absolutely did not expect was the lack of hospitality, friendliness, and respect towards guests. Arrival Upon arrival, we were actually not helped with our suitcases from the car, while we later saw that people arriving with a tour bus were helped with them. Eventually our suitcases were brought to the room from the hotel. We found it strange that a distinction was made in this. Then we got a room on the 6th floor, while the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor. We immediately indicated that this was not suitable due to my mother's mobility limitation. Initially, it was even difficult and they said that this had not been communicated. While our Dutch travel agency contacted the hotel in advance and also sent an email about it. We therefore expected that this would be taken into account. 🛏️ Room The rooms are indeed outdated, but we knew that beforehand. Upon arrival, some areas, especially in the bathroom, were not cleaned properly. This was fortunately resolved immediately after our report. The cleaning ladies are incredibly friendly and deserve a compliment for it. ❤️ The bed is however extremely hard. We asked for, for example, a topper, but nothing was done with it. We were also laughed at and not taken seriously when asking for an extra blanket or duvet. Ultimately, we had to buy extra duvets ourselves. The blankets from the hotel also smelled terribly dirty. The bathroom and partition wall are quite rotten in some places. The air conditioning works well, the rooms are tidy, and the towels are very thin and outdated, but luckily clean. Staff & hospitality Here lies our biggest problem. Friendliness and helpfulness towards guests are nowhere to be found here. When we asked questions, we regularly received irritated reactions, were laughed at, or felt like we were a bother. We are used to being welcomed with a smile in Turkey and that employees try to be accommodating. Unfortunately, we have not experienced that with some employees at all. Dealing with people with disabilities This might be the most worrying part of our stay for us. My mother has MS and had to rehabilitate for months to be able to walk at all again. My father also has heart problems. We indicated this in advance and also have a European disabled parking permit. However, a huge discussion arose about parking. The female security employee we first spoke to was friendly, but afterwards my father was dismissed in a very unfriendly manner by another employee. We then went to Guest Relations because we wanted to resolve the situation nicely. Unfortunately, no solution was sought for that. We were not taken seriously and were even called liars. The low point was the comment to my mother that she should just park somewhere else because she could walk. ❗ We find that comment absolutely unacceptable. Someone who can walk does not automatically have no limitations. My mother had to work extremely hard just to be able to walk a little again. A hotel employee should not decide what someone with a disability can or cannot do. We did not ask for a preferred treatment. We only asked for understanding and to take into account a limitation that was clearly indicated beforehand. Ultimately, no solution was sought and we were even asked to leave the Guest Relations area, even though we were there precisely to discuss our complaint. During the phone call with our Dutch travel agency, I was also called a liar. For us, that is not hospitality and certainly not a respectful way to treat guests. 🍽️ Food & service We found the food mediocre. There is a choice, but the selection is limited and many dishes are the same every day. We have experienced much better quality and taste in other Turkish hotels. Therefore we went out to eat several times outside the hotel. Also, a grill or live cooking, which you see in many Turkish all-inclusive hotels, was missing. The service is also very bad. Tables are not cleared quickly and you sometimes have to wait an incredibly long time for a drink. You can swing multiple times before someone comes. Long queues also regularly form at the buffet. The all-inclusive offer is sufficient in itself, but mainly local variants of soft drinks are served. 🏊 Facilities The pool is well maintained and is fine. 👍 We liked the animation and the staff from the external animation team were friendly and enthusiastic. ❤️ We did not use the fitness and spa. We did not visit the beach, but there is a shuttle. We found the parking facilities very bad, and this was ultimately also the reason for the escalation. Location We found the location somewhat unfavorable if you want to visit many sights. The hotel is a bit out of the way. Price-quality For us, the price-quality ratio is not in proportion. Again: the hotel being old is not the problem. We knew that beforehand. The problem is the way we as guests were treated. We find the unkindness, the lack of helpfulness, and the way our situation regarding a disability was handled to be very disappointing. ❌ Conclusion We would not book the Linda Hotel again and would not recommend it either. There are certainly positive points: the cleaning staff are friendly, the animation team is fun, and the pool is fine. But there it stands before us that we felt unwelcome, not taken seriously, and even disrespected multiple times. A hotel doesn't have to be luxurious or modern. But every guest deserves kindness, respect, and hospitality. And when it is clearly indicated in advance that a guest has a limitation, you can expect that it will be handled with understanding and humanity. ❤️ We can accept an old hotel. A lack of hospitality, respect, and understanding for people with disabilities is not. Therefore, we should not spend our money on this again.
The cleanliness, rooms, restaurant, food, and especially the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff were all excellent. They were all very friendly. Those seeking peace and quiet can sit anywhere. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Ibrahim from the staff. We left very satisfied. Grandpa Deniz was just as attentive and caring. Hopefully we'll see each other again next year. Wishing everyone good luck! 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
We arrived at your hotel as a group of 13 people. Your housekeeping staff, your manager, and all your employees are wonderful. A big thank you to Ms. Ayşe, the field supervisor. Also, to all the staff in the bars and dining hall – I can't even name them all – their smiles, love, and respect were excellent. A huge thank you to each and every one of them. To the bar staff, Ibrahim Sezer, Yunus Emre, Emre Mustafa (male and female), and all the managers and sub-managers – a huge thank you to everyone. As a request, we would like to increase the frequency of your services. To make a club bar Making brewed tea in Pulbara, doing various activities, renovating the elevator.
