We’ve had a really enjoyable stay, staff are very welcoming and they’ve been a great laugh! The views of the surrounding areas are beautiful with trees and hills surrounding the hotel!
Although we’re quite far from town with not much availability with buses the hotel do provide a free shuttle three times a day which is a very short walk to a bus stop where you can travel anywhere!
Food options are limited but reasonable and the rooms are cleaned with cleaners coming around midday who were very polite! The room was up to standard with modern furnishings - however we didn’t use the fridge as was not up to standard due to cleanliness and age.
The pool is really good, and we have witnessed it being cleaned/ hoovered every evening and the poolside is kept up to a really good standard as well! The pool is very deep (2.7m) but has a shallow end not by the ladder so only really suitable for good swimmers but we had a great time in there and it was kept at a really lovely temperature!
There’s so many lovely stray cats around which I’ve loved!
Asides from the distance from the town (which can’t be helped) and the fridge we’ve had a genuinely enjoyable stay and would love to come back!

I booked Tivoli Hotel Rhodes for a week, but after everything that happened during the very first night, we felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that we packed our bags and left the following morning. We forfeited the rest of our holiday accommodation because we simply could not bring ourselves to stay another night.
The problems started when we became locked inside our room because the door handle literally fell off. We were unable to get out until someone came to help us. It was frightening to think what could have happened if there had been an emergency. A hotel should provide guests with a safe place to stay, and this experience completely destroyed any confidence we had in the property.
The room itself was also in an unacceptable condition. The bathroom was filthy, with obvious dirt and grime, and it was covered in bugs. It was clear that it hadn’t been cleaned to an acceptable standard before our arrival. It was disgusting and certainly not what anyone expects when paying for a hotel stay.
The most upsetting part of the entire experience, however, was the treatment I received from the man at reception. When I politely raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room and asked for it to be cleaned, instead of apologising or trying to resolve the issue, he accused me of lying. The situation then became even more shocking when he made deeply offensive comments, telling me that women are never right and speaking to me in an incredibly degrading and dismissive manner because I am a woman.
I have travelled extensively and have never experienced such disrespect from someone working in hospitality. Rather than listening to a paying guest with genuine concerns, I was belittled and made to feel as though my opinions didn’t matter. His attitude was intimidating, deeply unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
The combination of being trapped in our room because of a broken door handle, the filthy bathroom covered in bugs, and the degrading way I was treated by reception completely ruined our holiday before it had even begun. We had booked to stay for an entire week, but after just one night we decided we could not remain there. We checked out the next morning, found alternative accommodation at our own expense, and lost money because staying any longer simply wasn’t worth enduring another interaction like that.
No guest should ever be made to feel unsafe, disrespected, or dismissed when raising genuine concerns. A hotel’s response to problems says everything about how it values its customers, and in our experience, Tivoli Hotel Rhodes failed completely.
I would never stay here again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and ruined holiday, and choose somewhere that values cleanliness, guest safety, and basic human respect.

I never leave reviews, but now I feel it’s the right time. I have never been so disappointed by a hotel or a holiday in my life.
start with the hotel, which honestly doesn’t feel like a hotel at all – it’s more like a dump. The doors don’t close properly; they are old and broken. The rooms are extremely hot, and if you want air conditioning, you have to pay an extra €5 per day. There were dead bugs under the bed, and I’m covered in bites and rashes.
The bathroom is a disaster, with painted windows that don’t close, and the balcony door doesn’t close properly either. The bed sheets were not changed even after seven days, and neither were the towels. The swimming pool is always dirty.
Now for the worst part – the food. Paying for breakfast and dinner is a complete rip-off. Breakfast consists of old food and the same things every day: eggs, bacon, salami, and cheese. Dinner is mostly microwaved convenience food and frozen pizza. Apart from the beef and lasagna, there is hardly anything edible to choose from.
The location is also very far from the town centre. To get there, you need to pay €13 for a taxi or take a bus that may not even show up.
horrible! This place turned my holiday into a nightmare. And be prepared to lose electricity during the night because power cuts seem to happen throughout the hotel… or hostel, because that’s what it feels like.
This place should have 1 star, not 3. Housekeeping comes every morning at 8 a.m. and bangs on your door just to ask if you want them to sweep the floor – not to actually clean the room. So, if you want to sleep in, forget about it. The noise is unbearable, with doors constantly being slammed because people struggle to open and close them due to the broken locks. The doors are old wooden doors that look like they haven’t been replaced in 50 years. If I can give -5 stars I will Many people arrived in the evening and left the very next day because the conditions were so bad. That alone says everything you need to know about this place.”
Arvustaja samtI8799XOgo here if you would like vaginal and penile thrush whilst paying a lot of money for nothing! thanks tivoli!
hello ladies and gentlemen of the interweb!
i don't usually write reviews, but dare say im going to give it a good go!
number 1. the beds have bedbugs and cockroaches that bite you into oblivion.
number 2. the pool has might as well have poo in, it is absolutely disgusting, gave me and my partner vaginal and penile thrush after going in for a little dabble.
number 3. there is a €55 euro fee on entry which isn't mentioned beforehand! this fee does not cover air conditioning, bedding/towel changes or the fact we had to walk on a dual carriageway for 30 minutes just to get into town. however, there are busses! you just have to go elsewhere to get on one, as (understandably) they drive straight past Tivoli Hotel.
number 4. if you decide to get a taxi, the drivers are very safe and polite (they miss the turn for the hotel and rather than decide to go further and turn around, they reverse down said dual carriageway into the hotel, almost hitting oncoming traffic and cattle)
number 5. in fairness they do have a bus service that runs twice a day from the hotel to the beach, however i don't think they care how they get there or if they get there at all as the driving was w and i am slightly surprised that i am here today to write this review as they failed to kill me off.
number 6. there is a shower in there which only has one temperature! so if you want a warm shower then tough tooties, no warm water for you! the shower also leaks and doesn't have a curtain so every single shower we had was more like a bath on the floor. the shower also has a see through window behind it with no curtain so any peeping toms can watch you whilst your showering.
number 7. the food is NOT what was advertised. we were promised fresh fruit and other pastries and were surprised by wet sausages and bacon which i wouldn't even feed my pet goldfish! the smell was rancid. if you are running late (there is a 10am curfew of breakfast) they are very generous (NOT) as we had to pay €3 for a tiny glass of orange juice at 10:02! i have never been so appalled as they serve the same juices and other uneaten/unfinished items the next day. the lunch was crisps and chips which were undeniably stale and for dinner was microwaved frozen pizza and stale chips which gave my partner dihoroeoa.
number 8. the homeless cats were the best part of the hotel apart from when they ate my breakfast (which was no bad thing) and scratched my girlfriend on her leg causing it to go purple and we enjoyed 3 days at the local hospital.
number 9. if you would like some crisps or other light refreshment there is a poolside vending machine (get your wallet out, as a small carton of pringles was an astonishing €6!) so we didn't partake!
number 10. if you don't set an alarm in the morning, don't fret! as the cleaners will knock on your door between 8:30 and 9 every morning, however, if you don't open the door for them they will let themselves in with a key and clean absolute fanny adam!
i have never been so disgraced and disappointed!
