Just returned from a midsummer visit to Riga, staying in the Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa. The hotel was very good - room rate for a city centre at this time of year was quite reasonable and the rooms were very comfortable, clean and everything worked. My room was 212 and, like many, it overlooked a small internal quadrangle and was nice and quiet. The location was great - right in the city centre and everything within easy reach. The hotel is very close to the 'Autoosta' bus station which connects very directly and cheaply to the airport. The central station is also not that far away - we took the train from there to the nearby beach resort of Jurmala. Breakfast were OK - typical European buffet fare although poorly laid out. As a result, the 'flow' of guests in and around the stations for food and drink was chaotic. I think the management need to give some further thought to this. Staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. I would certainly recommend.

Located here for 4 days, for a daughter and mother trip in Riga. Hotel’s location was excellent, close to everything. Hotel was clean and fresh, as well as the rooms. The atmosphere was nice. Staff in the reception and during the breakfast were friendly and helpful.❤️ Only thing missing was a gym. 🥹 We didn’t use the spa, due to it’s smallness😅

We chose this hotel largely because of the positive reviews of the breakfast, but unfortunately our experience was quite different. Much of the fruit and vegetables appeared less than fresh, several bread options were dry, and the hard-boiled eggs were extremely overcooked. The room itself was acceptable, although the towels had an unusual smell. Overall, we felt we would have been better off staying in an Airbnb and enjoying breakfast at one of Riga's many cafés.

Excellent location, great breakfast, pleasant reception staff, good rooms. However constant banging from what I believe are corridor doors which clearly have no soft closure. My wife and I are currently in room 201 and are subjected to this constant noise which only seems to cease late into the night when everyone is back in their rooms and starts again when guests start to go down for breakfast. Any chance of a long lie are zero and absolutely no chance of an early night. I informed reception who thanked me for bringing it to their attention but then clearly did nothing to rectify the issue. I put up with it as we are early risers but require an early night tonight as we are up early for our flight tomorrow. Frustrating as hell lying waiting for the next banging door. Spoilt our stay and I most certainly won't be recommending the hotel to anyone.
